No. You do not require a referral to see an osteopath if you are a privately billing patient e.g. using private health insurance or paying out of pocket.

Yes, we do accept GP Chronic Condition Management Plans that are referred via your GP. The rebates for these plans can be processed at the clinic on the day of the appointment.
Please note that full payment is required first and then the rebate will be processed back onto your card following.
No, we currently do not accept any of the above third party payment patients.
Osteopaths are hands-on manual therapists, meaning we use a range of techniques applied through our hands to treat areas of concern. In most cases, we may ask patients to partially undress (for example, removing a top and/or pants) to allow access to the area being treated.
We want all patients to feel comfortable during their treatment. If you would prefer to remain clothed, we recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement and access to the treatment area.
For your first appointment, your osteopath will take a detailed health history, asking questions about your current concerns and symptoms, as well as conducting a full medical screening. This is followed by a physical examination, which looks not only at the area of concern but also at related regions of the body, including areas above and below, to assist in forming an accurate diagnosis.
Treatment will then be provided based on the findings of the examination and may include techniques such as soft tissue massage, joint articulation, and stretching.
During your consultation, your practitioner will also offer tailored lifestyle advice and recommendations to help manage your symptoms and support your ongoing recovery.
